Seven tips to weight loss success

Many of us kick start a weight loss goal after an indulgent festive break, but keeping on track can prove difficult.  Check out our top tips to weight loss success and kick start your personal challenge.

1) Set a goal, start by setting a realistic weight loss goal over a realistic period.  Experts suggest around half a pound to 2 pounds per week.

4) Exercise, you don’t have to join a gym or buy special equipment, but making exercise a regular part of your routine will significantly boost your weight loss efforts.

5) Downsize, reducing your portion size can be tough – try using smaller plates and bowls, this will help you to naturally cut down.

6) Sleep, research suggests sleep deprived people have higher levels of hunger and can lead to overeating and weight gain.

7) Reward, celebrate your success by setting yourself mini milestones – perhaps for each 6 pounds lost treat yourself to a new CD, book or item of clothing.
